Pet Recycle

What is OH's?

OH's is the thermal stabilizer of the polyester resin that chemically embellished polyhydric phenol substances, which contained in almost all plants.

It is said that the polyhydric phenol contained in red wine, bananas etc., is good for your health. This is because the polyhydric phenol works to prevent activated oxygen from attacking other cells.

OH's performs the same work within polymer. The polymer is decomposed by the heat and shear stress caused in a forming process. OH's controls this decomposition and stabilize the resin. Since polyphenol is a natural compound, it is not very strong with heat.

Our company had succeeded in polymerization of polyhydric phenol, keeping with phenolic hydroxyl group and increased heat durability of polyhydric phenol.

That is OH's. Being compatible with polymer, it can be distributed in the resin uniformly.

PET RESIN IS HARD TO USE FOR FORMING

I. Original characteristics of the PET resin

1. High melting point
2. Slow Crystallization speed
3. Low viscosity in a melting domain
4. Extremely narrow forming domain
5. Intense hydrolysis

II. Characteristics of the recycled PET flakes

The fall of basic characters
Change of Quality

OH's had enabled 100% recycle of PET bottle
For PET resin to be reused as a material, the stabilizer to control the fall of basic characters is necessary.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE STABILIZER, OH's

THE FEATURES OF OH's

  • OH's controls degradation, increases weather resistance and it has high thermal stability.
  • Upgrading the impact stability:(20% upgraded when OH's added)
  • Flakes + OH's Use with a master-batch is possible.
  • A cost cut is possible, compared with the conventional material.
  • Very effective for practical use of PC, PBT, PET, PC/ABS.
